Ebook Cover Art Design System for BackBlaze

The mission was to develop a standardized eBook cover design system for Backblaze, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and brand consistency across all titles. The goal was to streamline the creation process while maintaining a cohesive visual identity through customizable templates, design guidelines, and a library of reusable assets.

To enhance the thematic representation of Backblaze’s content, a custom AI-driven graphic system was created, using flow metrics to establish a singular artistic style centered on abstract motion. Each of the eight categories was assigned a unique shape, designed to reflect its core theme dynamically. For example, "AI & Machine Learning" is symbolized by an orb, representing an omnipresent and adaptive perspective. Its design conveys multi-directional movement, constant transformation, and responsiveness, mirroring the dynamic nature of AI.

The result is a visually compelling system that blends conceptual depth with storytelling, providing a repeatable and adaptable framework that saves time, reduces design inconsistencies, and reinforces Backblaze’s brand identity across its growing library of eBooks.
