Our ideal Video/Animation - Creative Director will lead the conceptualization and production of high-quality video and animation content for our clients. You will apply your creative vision and experience to guide projects from ideation through to final production, ensuring they align with client goals and brand strategies. This role requires overseeing all aspects of video and animation production, fostering seamless collaboration among team members, and ensuring timely project delivery. You will also manage client expectations and successfully execute multiple projects simultaneously with a high standard of quality and creativity.

Responsibilities:

• Strategize and implement video and animation projects, including promotional videos and explainer animations, for clients.
• Collaborate with scriptwriters and storyboard artists to create impactful video assets.
• Conduct market research, develop innovative video concepts, and support marketing campaigns.
• Report on the performance and impact of video projects to stakeholders.
• Optimize video content to maximize engagement and effectiveness through continuous testing and iteration.
• Manage projects from concept to completion using Designity’s tools, ensuring high-quality results.
• Understand client objectives, identify challenges, and provide solutions while managing timelines and expectations.
• Mentor Designity’s creatives, setting direction and supporting their professional growth.
• Communicate effectively with clients, presenting concepts and translating feedback into actionable tasks for Creatives.
• Serve as a key decision-maker, leader, and mentor within the team.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in video and animation production with a strong focus on creative direction.
• Proficiency with video editing and animation software such as Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
• Proven track record in delivering successful video and animation projects.
• Experience managing the full lifecycle of video projects using industry-standard tools and techniques.
• Preferred experience in a creative/design agency or as a freelancer overseeing client projects.
• Expert knowledge of visual storytelling and the ability to anticipate industry trends.
• Experienced in developing and maintaining production schedules and client dashboards.
• Proven project management skills, with the ability to develop briefs, timelines, and manage independently.
• Experience mentoring and guiding creatives at various levels.
• Detail-oriented and organized, ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
• Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in video and animation production and creative direction.
• Bachelor’s/advanced degree in film, animation, design, or a related field; additional management education is a plus.
• Hands-on, self-motivated, team-oriented, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Based in the US or Canada with excellent English communication skills.
• Quick learner with a passion for processes and multitasking.

Compensation: $90,000 - $115,000
